  15.         Magneto12 39.1ß (6.5.93) -- Fixed-width font designed for DBLPAL
  16.         Titanium12 39.1ß (6.5.93) -- Proportional font designed for DBLPAL

  18.     ABSTRACT
  19.         I fairly recently upgraded from my good ol' A500 and bought myself an
  20.         A4000. :-) 'Twas very nice indeed to be able to use a 720x560 display
  21.         in "DBLPAL:High Res No Flicker" (the name is IMHO a misnomer -- it
  22.         DOES flicker - why can't I have 720x560 with MULTISCAN:Productivity?),
  23.         but the screen font looked AWFUL -- my previous 8x8 font became dis-
  24.         torted and was barely readable. :-( I have never fancied the Topaz/11
  25.         font and, besides, I wanted to use a proportional font for my screen
  26.         menus and icons -- so after a while I decided to make my own fonts.

  28.         Here they are: Magneto/12 and Titanium/12 -- especially designed for
  29.         use with screen modes like "BDLPAL:High Res No Flicker". The design
  30.         of the two fonts is identical except Magneto is fixed-with, Titanium
  31.         proportional.

  33.         The fonts were also designed for the Latin-1 2 charset (ISO-8859-1),
  34.         but I have included characters for the IBM-PC charset (CodePage 865)
  35.         in the range 0x01-0x1F and 0x80-0xA0 -- the latter are subject to
  36.         change and I might decide to release a separate fixed-width font that
  37.         handles the full CodePage 865 charset (including graphic characters)
  38.         for those of you out there who has the need for such a feature (this
  39.         is especially true for people on e.g. FidoNet). It depends, however,
  40.         on the amount of feed-back I get...

  42.     NOTES
  43.         Magneto & Titanium are released as public betas and should be treated
  44.         as such. Give them a try and tell me what you feel -- there are still
  45.         a lot of things to be changed, I know, but I NEED your *feed-back*,
  46.         please! You'll find my address at the bottom of this file.

  57.         from release 1.3 (oh, boy - I *love* that font requester!) -- argh!

  61.         Seistrup and are Copyright © 1993 Magnetic Ink. Both fonts are freely
  62.         distributable -- electronic distribution is especially encouraged --
  63.         as long as the distribution archive is left intact (please do NOT add,
  64.         NOR remove any, files!!!), holding the following files:

  79.         products is explicitly prohibited without PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT from
  80.         the author. Distribution via magazines (disk based or otherwise) is
  81.         also prohibited -- this especially goes to the Danish Amiga magazine
  82.         "Det Ny COMputer"! One single exception to this prohibition, however,
  83.         is Fred Fish who is explicitly granted rights to include these fonts
  84.         in his library, may he wish to do so. :-)
